HtmlUnit GET request to login and view page working fine in IE but not Chrome

I’m using HtmlUnit to send an GET request to a login page and then view a page on the server. In IE the login is successful, the page is loaded, etc and I have tested this with Fiddler. In Chrome, the login is successful but the page is never loaded. The HtmlUnit code and the Chrome javascript console are producing no errors.
Are there any special things I have to do to ensure that the server will look at the login and then return a web page?
